Weather & What to Pack
Late April in the Blue Mountains brings cool autumn conditions with daytime temperatures ranging from 12-20°C, though temperatures can drop significantly in the valleys and on exposed ridges. Morning starts can be cold (5-10°C), and conditions can change rapidly in the mountains. Pack layers including a windproof jacket, and consider arm warmers for the early stages. Sun protection is still essential on exposed sections. Rain is possible, making trails slippery. Carry mandatory safety gear as specified by the race.
