Weather & What to Pack

Late April in the Port Macquarie region typically offers pleasant autumn conditions, with average temperatures ranging from 14-24°C. Mornings can be cool and misty in the forest, warming up as the day progresses. The coastal proximity means some humidity is possible, though it's generally comfortable running weather. Under the forest canopy, temperatures remain cooler and conditions can be muddy if recent rain has occurred. Bring layers for the start, sun protection for exposed sections, and carry adequate hydration as the forest environment and trail terrain increase effort levels.
