Course Description

IRONKIDS Western Sydney offers young athletes aged 7-13 an exciting Run/Bike/Run format at the world-class Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith. The course takes place on the scenic grounds of this premier sporting venue, providing a safe and supportive environment for children to experience their first multisport event. The flat, purpose-built course features smooth paths around the regatta centre, making it ideal for young participants. Getting There

Sydney International Regatta Centre is located in Castlereagh, approximately 50km west of Sydney CBD. By car, take the M4 motorway to Penrith and follow signs to the Regatta Centre. Ample parking is available on-site from 4:30 AM on race day. The venue is also accessible via train to Penrith Station, followed by a short taxi or bus ride. Plan to arrive by 7:00 AM for check-in and bike racking, which opens at 7:00 AM.

Can parents be on the course with their child?

While parents cannot run or ride alongside participants, there are excellent viewing spots around the course and at the finish line. On-course safety marshals and volunteers provide support throughout the event.

What time should we arrive on race day?

Check-in and bike racking opens at 7:00 AM, with the race starting at 8:15 AM. Arrive by 7:00 AM to allow plenty of time for check-in, bike setup, and pre-race preparation without rushing.

Is there a random prize draw?

Yes! There's a random prize draw at approximately 9:00 AM at the finish line area. All participants are eligible, so stick around after the race to see if your young athlete wins.
