Weather & What to Pack
May in Port Stephens typically offers ideal running conditions with mild autumn weather. Expect temperatures between 13-22°C, with cooler conditions in early morning starts. The coastal location can bring sea breezes and occasional showers. Morning runners should layer clothing that can be removed as temperatures rise. Sun protection is essential as much of the course is exposed coastal trail. Pack rain gear if forecasts predict showers. The moderate temperatures and lower humidity make this an excellent time for trail running, though sand sections can be challenging.
