Course Description

The Walk or Run for REACH takes place in the iconic Princes Park, Carlton North, one of Melbourne's most beloved inner-city green spaces. The 4km walk and 8km run routes wind through the park's tree-lined paths and open parklands, offering a flat and accessible course suitable for all fitness levels. Runners and walkers will enjoy the scenic surrounds of this heritage-listed park, complete with well-maintained paths and plenty of shade. The flat terrain makes it an ideal course for personal bests or a leisurely charity walk. With the event starting early in the morning, participants can expect cooler temperatures and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for connecting with the REACH community whilst supporting vulnerable children and families in Cambodia.

Getting There

Princes Park is located on Royal Parade in Carlton North, approximately 3km north of Melbourne's CBD. The venue is easily accessible via tram route 19 (stop at Royal Parade/Park Street) or by car with street parking available along Royal Parade and surrounding streets. Limited parking is also available within the park itself. Public transport is recommended due to parking constraints. Plan to arrive by 8:30 AM for walk-in registration and to hear speeches from the REACH team before the 9:30 AM start.

Absolutely! While you can opt-in to set up a personal fundraising page when registering, it's completely optional. Your ticket includes a donation to REACH, and you're welcome to simply participate in the walk or run without additional fundraising commitments.

What's included in my registration?

Your ticket includes entry to either the 4km walk or 8km run, a donation to REACH Siem Reap, an event wristband, and the opportunity to hear speeches from Founder Emily Williamson and Cambodian team members. You'll also have access to post-event meet and greet at 10:35 AM.

Can I join or create a team?

Yes! When registering, you can choose to join an existing team or organisation, or start your own team. This is a great way to rally friends, family, or colleagues to support the cause together and compete for fundraising prizes.

What if I can't afford the registration fee?
