Weather & What to Pack

Early June in Melbourne brings cooler autumn conditions with morning temperatures typically ranging from 8-12°C at the 8:00 AM start. Expect crisp, fresh conditions that are ideal for running, though there's potential for light rain or overcast skies. The lakeside location can be breezy, so dress in layers you can shed as you warm up. Long sleeves or a light running jacket are recommended for the start line. Despite the cooler temperatures, hydration remains important, particularly for half marathon runners. The off-road surface may be slightly softer if there's been recent rain.
