The Summer Series returns to where it all began at Jetty Flat Reserve in Warrnambool. This 5km course offers runners a scenic Wednesday evening route along Pertobe Road, with stunning coastal views of the Southern Ocean. The flat, fast terrain makes it ideal for personal bests, while the ocean backdrop provides a refreshing atmosphere for summer running. The club uses Webscorer timing on iPads. When you finish, your time is recorded and you receive a token showing your position. You then provide your name and token number to another volunteer. Results are synced and uploaded to Webscorer later that day.
Is this race suitable for juniors?
Yes, juniors under 16 can participate for just $12.50 annual membership with free race entry. The flat 5km course and friendly club atmosphere make it welcoming for young runners of all abilities.
What if I can't attend but want to maintain my championship points?
Running members can complete up to 4 races per year virtually (including this event). Virtual runs count toward championship points but don't qualify for race day placings or prizes.
