Quick Facts
Getting There
The start line is at the Pillars of Wisdom on the Tan Track, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne's CBD. Public transport is highly recommended - catch a tram along St Kilda Road or take a train to Flinders Street Station and walk 15 minutes through the gardens. Limited street parking is available on surrounding streets. Arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time to collect your bib and warm up.
Weather & What to Pack
Late April in Melbourne typically brings mild autumn weather with temperatures ranging from 11-20°C. Expect crisp mornings perfect for running, though conditions can be unpredictable - Melbourne is known for 'four seasons in one day'. The 8:00 AM start means cooler temperatures, so dress in layers. Light rain is possible, so bring a cap and consider moisture-wicking clothing. The moderate temperatures and lower humidity make autumn ideal for achieving personal bests. Stay hydrated despite the cooler conditions.
