Course Description
The Maroondah Night Run takes you on a glowing 5km loop through all 18 holes of Ringwood Golf Course, with the fairways and course path lit by glow lights to guide your way. The route winds across a mix of grass, gravel, and concrete paths with undulating terrain, offering a unique and atmospheric running experience unlike a typical road race. Water stations are positioned along the course, and track marshals in fluoro vests are stationed at each hole to keep you on the right path. Whether you're chasing a personal best on the timed course or soaking up the evening atmosphere, the illuminated fairways of Ringwood Golf make for a memorable and accessible 5km adventure.

Weather & What to Pack
Early May in Melbourne's eastern suburbs typically brings cool to mild autumn conditions. Expect evening temperatures of 10–15°C at race time (6:00 PM), with the possibility of light wind or passing showers. Dress in warm, bright activewear and bring a light jacket for after the run. BYO glow bands and a head torch or hand torch are strongly recommended — they're part of the fun and required for course safety.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum age to participate?
Participants must be 12 years or older, or be accompanied by an adult. Children in prams who are not actively participating are free and do not need to register.
Do I need to bring a torch?
Yes — a head torch or hand torch is strongly recommended and required for safety. The course path is illuminated by glow lights, but personal lighting helps with visibility on uneven and undulating terrain.
When and where do I collect my race bib?
Race bibs can be collected on Thursday 30 April (12 noon–5:30 PM) or Friday 1 May (10am–4pm) from Active Feet, 129 Canterbury Road, Heathmont. If you miss those times, bibs are available from 5:30 PM on race day at the registration tent near the start line.
When do registrations close?
Registrations close at 5:00 PM on Tuesday 28 April 2026, or earlier if maximum entries are reached. Registrations submitted between Saturday 25 April and Tuesday 28 April incur a $10.50 late fee per person.
Can I bring my dog or children on bikes?
No — dogs and bikes are not permitted on the course. Prams are welcome but must remain at walking pace and will be positioned at the rear of the walking group for safety on the uneven golf course terrain.
