Weather & What to Pack
April in Hobart brings mild autumn conditions with average temperatures ranging from 10-17°C. Expect cool morning starts, particularly for the 6:00 AM marathon, with temperatures warming through mid-morning. The waterfront location can bring brisk breezes off the Derwent River. Dress in layers with a long-sleeved top or light jacket for the start. Weather can be changeable, so check forecasts and be prepared for potential showers. The cooler conditions are ideal for distance running, but ensure adequate hydration throughout. Sunscreen is recommended as UV levels remain moderate in autumn.
