Quick Facts
Getting There
Wandin Park Estate is located at 305 Victoria Road, Wandin North, approximately 50 kilometres east of Melbourne CBD. Drive via the Maroondah Highway (M39) or Warburton Highway for scenic Yarra Valley access. Ample parking is available on-site. Public transport options are limited to this rural location, so driving or carpooling is recommended. Arrive at least 45-60 minutes before your wave start time to allow for parking, gear check, and warm-up in the festival area.
Weather & What to Pack
Late January in the Yarra Valley typically brings warm to hot summer weather, with temperatures ranging from 15-30°C. Expect sunny conditions with moderate humidity, though occasional hot days above 35°C are possible. The heat combined with physical activity makes hydration essential - take advantage of the water stations throughout the course. Sunscreen is mandatory for this outdoor event. The warm weather actually enhances the foam and water obstacle experience, making those cooling stations particularly refreshing. Bring a hat and change of clothes for post-race comfort.
