Course Description
Starting at Stanley's iconic Nut, this spectacular ultra adventure traverses North West Tasmania's most diverse terrain. The course hugs pristine Bass Strait coastline before climbing through Rocky Cape National Park's rugged bushland and calming temperate rainforest. Runners navigate volcanic rock formations, long white sandy beaches, and crescent bays created by ancient eruptions. The route crosses private land accessible only on race day, including the exclusive Boat Harbour Beach to Table Cape coastal section. Rolling green farmland meets dramatic cliff edges throughout, with wildlife encounters and breathtaking ocean views constant companions. The course finishes with a spectacular circuit around Table Cape's volcanic monolith, concluding at Wynyard Yacht Club.

Weather & What to Pack
Late February in North West Tasmania typically brings mild to warm conditions with temperatures ranging from 13-23°C. Coastal sections can be significantly cooler with strong winds off Bass Strait, while sheltered forest sections may be humid. The region averages 40-50mm rainfall in February, so be prepared for all conditions. Early starters (4:30 AM) will run in darkness initially. Pack sun protection for exposed coastal sections, and consider layering for temperature variations across diverse terrain. Hydration is critical given the challenging course and limited aid station access.
