Weather & What to Pack
Early November in Tasmania brings pleasant spring conditions with average daytime temperatures ranging from 12-18°C. The afternoon runs start at 6:00 PM when temperatures are cooling, whilst night runs at 8:00 PM can drop to 10-12°C. Pack layers for the temperature drop between afternoon and night events. Spring weather can be changeable, so bring a light waterproof jacket. For night runs, a head torch with minimum 300 lumens is essential. Hydration remains important despite cooler temperatures. The bush setting provides some wind protection, though exposed sections on Knocklofty can be breezy.
