The 10km event starts from Ninja Stadium near Derwent Street, whilst the 5km run and walk commence from Montagu Bay Primary School. All courses cross the spectacular Tasman Bridge, providing a unique perspective of Tasmania's capital city. The flat, sealed road surface makes this course accessible to runners and walkers of varying abilities. With aid stations positioned along the route and enthusiastic volunteers cheering you on, the course delivers a memorable experience. The finish line at Salamanca Square adds to the event's charm, bringing participants into the heart of Hobart's waterfront precinct.
Quick Facts
Getting There
The 10km starts at Ninja Stadium on Derwent Street, whilst the 5km events begin at Montagu Bay Primary School. Street parking is available in surrounding areas, though arrive early as spaces fill quickly on race morning. Public toilets are located at both start venues, at aid stations, the PW1 shed forecourt, and Salamanca Square near the finish. The finish line at Salamanca Square is easily accessible from Hobart's CBD. Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your race start time to allow for parking and warm-up.
Weather & What to Pack
Mid-February in Hobart typically brings pleasant late summer conditions, with average temperatures ranging from 12°C to 22°C. Mornings can be cool at the 7:00 AM start time, so consider wearing a light long-sleeved top or arm warmers that you can remove as you warm up. Tasmania's weather can be changeable, so check the forecast in the days leading up to the event. The early start helps avoid the heat of the day. Sunscreen is essential, even on cloudy mornings. Hydration stations are positioned along the course, but carrying your own water bottle is recommended, particularly for the 10km distance.

Toilets are available at Ninja Stadium (10km start), Montagu Bay Primary School (5km start), both aid stations, PW1 shed, and Salamanca Square at the finish. Bag storage details will be confirmed closer to the event date.
Are there pace runners available?
Yes! The Tasmanian Road Runners provide 'TRR Angels' who act as pace runners. They're easily identifiable in special tops with pace times displayed on flags attached to their backs. What happens if I can't make the race day?
