Quick Facts
Getting There
The event starts at Docklands in Melbourne's inner city. Public transport is highly recommended - catch a tram to Docklands Drive or a train to Southern Cross Station, followed by a short walk. For those driving, several car parks are available in the Docklands precinct, though spaces fill quickly on event day. Arrive at least 60-90 minutes before your allocated start time to allow for parking, bag drop, and getting to your designated start zone. Check the official website closer to the event for detailed parking maps and public transport timetables.
Weather & What to Pack
Late March in Melbourne typically brings mild autumn weather, with daytime temperatures ranging from 14-24°C. Morning start times mean you'll likely begin in cooler conditions around 15-18°C, warming up as the day progresses. Pack layers you can shed as you warm up, and don't forget sun protection - UV levels can still be moderate in autumn. Melbourne's weather can be unpredictable, so check the forecast in the days leading up and be prepared for possible wind, especially on the exposed Bolte Bridge section. Hydration remains important even in cooler conditions, particularly for those tackling the 14.4km distance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the pace zones and how do I choose one?
Zones are organised by estimated finish time. For the 14.4km: Pre-Qualified (under 60 mins), Blue (61-79 mins), Yellow (80-99 mins), Orange (100-120 mins), and Red (over 120 mins). For the 4.7km: Green (under 30 mins), Purple (30-45 mins), White (46-60 mins), and Family Fun (60-100 mins). Choose based on your realistic pace to ensure a smooth start.
Can I bring a pram?

What's included in my entry fee?
Your entry includes access to the unique course including the Bolte Bridge and Domain Tunnel, timing services, post-race entertainment and activities, and the satisfaction of supporting the Royal Children's Hospital. Check the official website for details on finisher items and other inclusions.
What time should I arrive on race day?
Arrive at least 60-90 minutes before your allocated start time. This allows time for parking or public transport, collecting your race bib if required, bag drop, toilets, warm-up, and getting to your designated start zone. Gates typically open early morning to accommodate the 7:30 AM first start.
