Weather & What to Pack

Late May in Victoria brings crisp autumn conditions, with temperatures typically ranging from 8-16°C. Mornings can be quite cool, especially for early starters in the 50km and marathon distances, so dress in layers you can shed as you warm up. The weather is generally mild and pleasant for running, though you may encounter occasional light rain or overcast skies. Pack a light jacket for before and after your race. Sun protection is still important despite the cooler season. The trail environment provides some natural shade, but open sections can be exposed. Hydration stations are provided on course, but carry your own water for longer distances.
