Course Description

The Albury Running Festival uses a fully pathed, undulating course along the banks of the Murray River, starting and finishing at Hovell Tree Park in South Albury. Runners stay on paths beside the river and through open parkland, with the Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km Family Dash all sharing the riverfront setting. Water stations stocked with water and Tailwind Nutrition are positioned along the course: at 2, 4.3, 6, 8.9, 12.3, 14.6, 16.5 and 19.2km for the Half Marathon, at 2, 4.3, 6.2 and 8.1km for the 10km, and at 2 and 3km for the 5km. All distances are chip-timed by Multisport Australia. The Half Marathon has a 3.5-hour cut-off; the other distances have none.

Weather & What to Pack

April in southern NSW is autumn, bringing mild to cool conditions. Expect daytime highs of 12‑20 °C with a chance of light rain and lower humidity. Dress in layers—short‑sleeve top with a light jacket or vest for early morning chill, and wear a hat or sunglasses if it’s sunny. Stay hydrated, but you won’t need heavy water loads; the on‑course stations will keep you topped up.
