Event Details
Course Description
Runners will follow a fully pathed, gently undulating route that hugs the banks of the Murray River. The course starts and finishes in Hovell Tree Park, winding past river views, native riverbank vegetation and historic bridges. Expect a smooth surface with a few rolling hills that add a modest challenge without being overly tough. The layout is loop‑based, making it easy to gauge effort and enjoy the scenery, while the family dash stays close to the park's playgrounds for a fun, community‑focused finish.
Getting There
Hovell Tree Park is just off the Hume Highway, a short walk north of the Albury Railway Station. Free on‑site parking is available in the park's lot (first‑come, first‑served). Public buses run regularly from the city centre to the Albury Sports Centre stop, a 5‑minute walk to the start. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to collect your bib and warm‑up.
Weather & What to Pack
October in Albury is springtime, with daytime highs around 21 °C and overnight lows near 9 °C. Expect mild sunshine and occasional light showers; humidity is moderate. Dress in layers – a breathable shirt, a light jacket for early morning chill, and a hat or sunglasses for sun. Carry a small water bottle, but you’ll likely be fine with the on‑course hydration stations.
