Course Description

The Sydney North course starts at Clontarf Reserve, where participants dive into the harbour before tackling a series of trail sections across Dobroyd Head and North Harbour Reserve. Runners navigate coastal bushland, steep climbs and sandy beach stretches, then splash into a second swim at Little Manly before a final ascent up Marshall Street. The route finishes on Manly Wharf, with a final swim through the protected Cabbage Tree Bay and a sprint along Manly Beach to the finish line at Queenscliff. With 21 alternating swim‑run sections, the course delivers sweeping harbour panoramas, rugged national‑park terrain and soft‑sand beach runs, offering both technical challenges and unforgettable scenery.

Getting There

Athletes must arrange their own transport to the start at Clontarf Reserve in Sydney. Most participants drop off, use an Uber or taxi, or are driven by a friend. Swimrun Australia will handle gear transfers to the finish. Arrive with enough time for registration (6:00‑7:20 am) and the athlete briefing.

Weather & What to Pack
