Event Details
Course Description
Teams navigate an unmarked off‑road course across the Shoalhaven region, combining 5–7 km of trail running, 10–15 km of rugged mountain biking and a 5 km kayak stretch on the river or coastal waterways. The Full Course covers roughly 20–27 km of mixed terrain, while the Half Course totals about 11–17 km, featuring scenic bushland, riverbanks and coastal views. Checkpoints are spread throughout, requiring map and compass skills, and the 6‑hour cut‑off ensures a fast‑paced, adventurous experience.
Getting There
From Sydney, take the Princes Highway (M1) south to the Illawarra region, then follow signs to Shoalhaven (approximately 2.5 h). Parking is available at the Shoalhaven Community Centre car park (free). Public transport: NSW TrainLink services to Nowra, then a local taxi or rideshare to the start. Arrive at least 30 minutes before registration (7:00 AM).

Weather & What to Pack
November is spring in southern NSW, bringing mild to warm days (average 15‑25 °C) with occasional showers and moderate humidity. Expect sunny intervals and a light breeze. Dress in layers – a moisture‑wicking shirt, breathable shorts or leggings, and a light waterproof jacket. Sun protection and plenty of water are essential, as temperatures can rise quickly on exposed sections of the course.
