Event Details
Course Description
Day 1 (Saturday) starts in Lorne where the Otway Ranges meet Loutit Bay. Teams trek 10–12 km through forested cliffs, mountain‑bike 20–35 km on sandy single‑track, then kayak 5–8 km on Bass Strait waters. Day 2 (Sunday) shifts to Anglesea, featuring a shorter trek of 4–6 km, 15–20 km of MTB on coastal heathland, and a 4–5 km paddle on the Anglesea River and open sea. The Epic option combines both days, extending each discipline for a true stage race. Bonus checkpoints add extra kilometres, making each course a dynamic mix of navigation, endurance and spectacular coastal scenery.
Getting There
The race is set along the Surf Coast on the Great Ocean Road, about 90 km (≈1½ h) southwest of Melbourne. Drive to Lorne or Anglesea and use the town parking areas; public transport includes V/Line to Geelong followed by local buses to the coastal towns. Arrive early to allow time for registration and bike drop‑off.
