Course Description

The race follows a flat, fast road course along the Bay to Bay Cycleway beside the Cooks River. Starting at Freshwater Park, runners head south toward Ford Park on a well‑maintained shared path, with clear signage and traffic‑controlled road crossings. The route is free of hills, making it ideal for personal best attempts and family participation. Marshals and accredited traffic controllers are positioned at key points, including the Morgan Place crossing, to keep the flow safe and smooth. Finishers cross the timing mat at the park’s finish line where medals and refreshments await.

Getting There

Parking is available on Wilson Street, Ada Avenue and nearby residential streets – please respect driveways. Bus 483 runs along Ada Avenue with a stop just 200 m from the park. Arrive early to collect your bib and explore the event village which opens at 7:00 am.

Weather & What to Pack

July is winter in Australia, so expect cool temperatures in Strathfield, typically ranging from 5‑15 °C with a chance of light rain. Dress in layers – a warm jacket, hat and gloves are advisable – and wear moisture‑wicking socks. Stay hydrated even in cooler weather; a small water bottle or the aid stations will keep you comfortable.
