Course Description

The 11 km route begins about 300 m from the Pinnacle Picnic Ground, heading southwest along Walker Lane. After a gentle start, the trail climbs steadily through pine forest to a saddle at 1.5 km, then ascends steeply to 2.5 km before undulating. Runners reach the first volcanic summit, Mount Towac, around the 5 km mark with panoramic views of Mount Canobolas and the Cadia Valley. After a drink station, the course proceeds to Walls Picnic Ground, then a nature trail through native forest to Young Man Canobolas, the second summit, before the final steep climb to Mount Canobolas.
