Course Description
The 64 km K2PD Ultra starts just off the Kennedy Highway turn‑off on Black Mountain Road, about 200 m from the highway, and follows the dramatic Black Mountain Road and the Bump track into Port Douglas. Runners traverse lush tropical rainforest, open eucalypt woodland, pine plantations and cross a series of crystal‑clear creeks. The iconic pyramid‑shaped Black Mountain dominates the early section, while the latter kilometres wind through the Wet Tropics World Heritage area before finishing on the famous Four Mile Beach. The course is point‑to‑point, with aid stations supplied along the way, and can be tackled solo or as a 2‑4‑person relay team.
