Course Description

Run Moana’s course starts and finishes at the iconic Moana Surf Club, winding along fully closed coastal roads that hug the Gulf St Vincent shoreline. Runners will experience a mix of flat beachfront promenades, gentle dune climbs and sweeping ocean views, with aid stations positioned at key points offering water and a sports drink in compostable cups. The Half Marathon covers 21.1 km of scenic road, while the 10 km and 5 km routes provide faster, tighter loops for those seeking speed. A family‑friendly 2 km Kids Run adds a fun, safe option for younger athletes. The closed‑road format ensures a safe, uninterrupted race experience, and the supportive volunteer crew keeps the atmosphere upbeat from start to finish.

Getting There

The race begins and finishes at Moana Surf Club in the coastal suburb of Moana, South Australia. The venue is easily reachable by car or local Adelaide Metro bus services, with parking and drop‑off points nearby. Arriving early to collect your bib and warm up is recommended. For detailed parking information, public transport options, and exact arrival times, please visit the official event website.

Weather & What to Pack

February is midsummer in South Australia, with warm to hot conditions along the coast. Expect daytime temperatures between 22 °C and 30 °C, occasional peaks above 32 °C, and low to moderate humidity. Sunlight is strong, so wear a breathable, light‑coloured shirt, hat and sunscreen. Stay hydrated and take advantage of the water stations, and consider a light jacket for early morning start if a sea breeze brings cooler air.
