Course Description

The race starts at Wigley Reserve in Glenelg North, where runners follow a flat, well‑maintained park path around Patawolonga Creek. The 5km loop returns to the reserve after a gentle coastal stretch, while the 10km adds a longer seaside trail with sea breezes and occasional sand sections. The course is largely traffic‑free, offering views of the Gulf St Vincent shoreline and plenty of shaded trees, making it both fast and scenic. Finish back at Wigley Reserve for medal ceremonies and refreshments.

Getting There

Wigley Reserve is a short walk from Glenelg North railway station (Adelaide Metro). Limited on‑site parking is free; for larger groups use the nearby Glenelg North shopping centre car park (pay‑and‑display). Bus routes 245 and 247 stop within a few minutes' walk. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to collect your bib and warm up.

Weather & What to Pack

November is spring in Adelaide, with typical daytime highs around 24 °C and overnight lows near 14 °C. Expect mild sunshine and occasional light breezes off the Gulf. Dress in breathable layers – a short‑sleeve shirt with a light jacket for early morning chill, and a hat or sunglasses for sun. Stay hydrated, but a water bottle should be sufficient for the modest distances.
