Course Description

The race starts opposite South Terrace on the Semaphore South foreshore and follows the coastal bike‑walk path. The AIMS‑measured loop is 10.55 km, with the start/finish positioned mid‑loop so participants are never more than ~5 km from aid stations. Runners enjoy flat, well‑maintained surfaces, occasional sand sections, and uninterrupted views of Gulf St Vincent. The route is predominantly road‑type path, making it fast and accessible for all ability levels while still offering the refreshing sea breeze and sunrise ambience.

Getting There

The start line is on the coastal path opposite South Terrace, Semaphore. Free on‑street parking is available on Semaphore Road and nearby streets; a few metres from the start. Paid parking at the Semaphore Jetty car park is $5. Trains to Adelaide then a 15‑minute bus (Route 300) to Semaphore, or a 20‑minute drive from Adelaide CBD. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to collect your bib.

Weather & What to Pack

November is spring in South Australia. Expect mild to warm days with highs around 20‑25 °C and lows of 12‑15 °C. Light breezes off the Gulf are common, and the sky is often clear. Dress in layers – a breathable shirt, light jacket for early morning chill, and a hat or sunglasses for sun. Stay hydrated, but you won’t need heavy water packs in this moderate climate.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does registration close?

Early‑bird pricing runs until 12 Nov 2026. Registration closes a few days before the race; you’ll receive a reminder email once the cut‑off approaches.

Your race bib (collected at the start/finish area from 6:15 am), a timing chip if you have one, a water bottle, and optional yellow socks to join the theme. No mandatory gear beyond standard running shoes.

Are there aid stations along the course?

Yes – the start/finish area serves as the main aid station, and because the loop is only 10.55 km you’re never more than ~5 km from water, fruit and medical support.
