The swim takes place in the protected waters of Collins Beach, followed by a unique 2km T1 run up to North Fort transition area—a distinctive feature of Warringah Triathlon Club races. The bike course utilises the recently resurfaced North Scenic Drive with minimal traffic, offering a flat and fast route perfect for PB attempts. The run leg continues on flat terrain within the National Park, combining natural bushland with coastal vistas. The course layout suits all abilities, from beginners tackling their first Enticer distance to experienced athletes racing the Sprint format. With professional timing, course marshals, and the idyllic Northern Beaches location, this race delivers both competitive racing and stunning scenery.

Getting There

North Fort is located at North Head in Manly, part of Sydney Harbour National Park. Drive via North Head Scenic Drive and follow signs to North Fort—parking available on-site. Public transport users can take ferry or bus to Manly, then taxi/rideshare to North Head (approximately 5km). Allow 30 minutes to walk from transition down to Collins Beach swim start. Arrive by 5:30am for check-in, with transition closing at 6:00am sharp.

Weather & What to Pack

Late November in Sydney brings warm spring conditions with average temperatures ranging from 18-25°C. Mornings at North Head can be cooler with coastal breezes, warming quickly once the sun rises. Expect mild water temperatures around 20°C at Collins Beach. The early 6:30am start means racing in pleasant conditions before the day heats up. Pack sunscreen and a cap for the run, bring layers for pre-race warmth, and ensure adequate hydration despite the moderate temperatures. The exposed coastal location may bring wind—check forecasts beforehand.
