About This Event

Wild&Co adventure race featuring navigation, trail running, and outdoor challenges. Events designed for adventure seekers in Australia's natural landscapes.

Course Description

Hells Bells is Australia's longest-running 24-hour adventure race, set in the stunning natural landscape of the Sunshine Coast hinterland around QCCC Mapleton. Teams navigate through challenging terrain combining trekking, mountain biking, and kayaking disciplines over a full day and night. The course tests both physical endurance and navigation skills as competitors work together to complete checkpoints across Queensland's beautiful wilderness. Two course options are available - the full Hells Bells challenge and the slightly more accessible Fairy Bells route. Weather & What to Pack

August on the Sunshine Coast brings mild winter weather with daytime temperatures typically ranging from 12-22°C, though nights can be cooler at 7-12°C in the hinterland. Competitors should prepare for variable conditions across the 24-hour period, including potential overnight cold. Pack both warm and cool-weather gear in your mandatory equipment. The region can experience occasional winter rainfall, so waterproof layers are essential. Low humidity makes for comfortable racing conditions, but overnight sections will require adequate thermal protection.
