Getting There

Scarborough Beach Park is located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, approximately 45 minutes north of Brisbane CBD. Take the Bruce Highway to the Redcliffe exit, then follow signs to Scarborough. Parking is available at Scarborough Beach Park and surrounding streets - arrive early as spaces fill quickly for popular events. Public transport users can catch the train to Kippa-Ring Station, then take a connecting bus to Scarborough. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the 7:30 AM start to collect your race pack and warm up.

Weather & What to Pack

June in Redcliffe brings mild winter conditions with average temperatures ranging from 12-21°C. Mornings can be crisp, so dress in layers you can remove as you warm up. The coastal location means potential for sea breezes, which can feel cooler than inland temperatures. Expect generally dry conditions with low humidity, though it's wise to bring a light jacket for after the event. Queensland's winter sunshine is typically pleasant for outdoor activities. Stay hydrated despite the cooler weather, particularly for the longer distances, and apply sunscreen as UV levels remain moderate even in winter.
