Quick Facts
Getting There
The City Botanic Gardens are located at the southern end of Brisbane's CBD, bordered by Alice Street and the Brisbane River. Public transport is highly recommended - catch trains to Central Station or buses to Queen Street Bus Station, both within 10 minutes' walk. Limited street parking is available on weekends, but arriving early is essential. For those driving, consider parking at nearby King George Square or Myer Centre car parks. Plan to arrive at least 60 minutes before your race start time to allow for bag drop and warm-up.
Weather & What to Pack
Early June in Brisbane offers ideal running conditions with mild winter weather. Expect temperatures between 10-21°C, with cool, crisp mornings perfect for racing. Humidity is lower than summer months, though Brisbane remains relatively humid year-round. Sunrise occurs around 6:30am, so early starters may begin in dawn light. Light layers are recommended for the start line, which you can discard or check in. The sun can still be strong, so apply sunscreen. While rain is less common in winter, check the forecast and bring a light rain jacket if needed. Stay hydrated despite the cooler conditions.
