Course Description

The course starts at Carisbrooke Reserve and follows a mostly flat, mixed‑surface route of bitumen and park paths. Runners enjoy shaded tree‑lined creek banks, the scent of eucalypts, and a gentle rise near the Little Para Golf Course before looping back via the classic 5km Carisbrook loop. The half‑marathon adds a scenic stretch along the Little Para River and a brief detour past Port Wakefield Road. Well‑marked and marshalled, the routes are suitable for all fitness levels while offering a pleasant outdoor experience.

Getting There

Carisbrooke Park sits on Main North Road, Salisbury. From Adelaide CBD, take the M2 and exit at Port Wakefield Road, then follow signs to the park. Free parking is available on‑site; arrive 30‑45 minutes early to allow time for bib collection and warm‑up. Adelaide Metro bus routes 222 and 224 stop nearby, and a train to Salisbury station is a short walk from the venue.

Weather & What to Pack

May is autumn in Australia. Typical daytime highs are around 17 °C with overnight lows near 8 °C. Expect mild sunshine, occasional light rain, and low humidity. Dress in layers – a light long‑sleeve shirt, a breathable jacket, and a hat or visor. Warm up before the start and stay hydrated, but a water bottle should be enough for the cooler conditions.
