Public transport options are limited in this area, so carpooling with your team is recommended.

Weather & What to Pack

Early May in the Dandenong Ranges typically brings mild autumn conditions with temperatures ranging from 8-17°C. Morning starts can be quite cool, particularly in the forested sections where mist is common. The region is known for changeable weather, so be prepared for possible showers and pack layers. Humidity is generally moderate. Wear moisture-wicking base layers with a waterproof outer shell. The extended duration of the longer distances means you'll experience varying conditions throughout the day. Carry adequate water and sun protection for clearer sections, as UV levels remain moderate even in autumn.
