Weather & What to Pack
Early May in Melbourne brings autumn conditions with mild temperatures typically ranging from 10-18°C. Expect cool mornings with potential for light drizzle or partly cloudy skies. Dress in layers with a light running jacket or vest you can remove if needed. The lakeside location can be breezy, so consider wind-resistant outer layers. Sun protection is still advisable on clear days. Hydration remains important despite cooler temperatures, particularly for the 10km distance. Check the forecast closer to race day for specific weather updates.
