Weather & What to Pack

Mid-April on the Gold Coast typically brings pleasant autumn conditions with temperatures ranging from 17-25°C. The 6:00 AM sunrise start means you'll begin in cooler conditions, though temperatures will rise as the race progresses. Expect mild humidity and generally clear skies, though occasional showers are possible. The early start time is designed to maximise the cooler conditions before the day heats up. Wear lightweight, breathable running gear and apply sunscreen before the race. Hydration is important even in cooler weather, so drink well in the days leading up to the event and take advantage of on-course water stations.
