Getting There

The event village is located at Old Parliament House in Parkes, central Canberra. Ample parking is available in surrounding parliamentary precinct car parks, though expect high demand on race mornings. Public transport options include ACTION buses to City and Parliament House stops. The venue is easily accessible from all Canberra suburbs, typically 10-20 minutes' drive. Arrive at least 60-90 minutes before your race start time to collect your bib, warm up, and access facilities without stress.

Weather & What to Pack

April in Canberra brings crisp autumn conditions, ideal for distance running. Expect morning temperatures between 5-10°C at the early marathon start, warming to 15-20°C by mid-morning. Conditions are typically clear with low humidity, though mornings can be quite cold. Dress in layers you can shed after warming up - arm sleeves and a throwaway top layer work well. The early marathon start means running in cooler temperatures, perfect for sustaining pace over the full distance. Pack a warm layer for after the finish and stay hydrated despite the cooler conditions.
