Course Description

The course follows the Wiradjuri Walking Track along the Murrumbidgee River between Wiradjuri Reserve and Copeland Street, based at the Riverside Precinct. It is flat, on a mix of sealed and compacted-gravel shared path with river and bush on both sides - road shoes are fine. The longer distances run more of the same track network.

Getting There

The Riverside Precinct is on the Wagga Wagga side of the Murrumbidgee, a few minutes from the CBD. Wagga is about 2.5 hours from Canberra and 1.5 hours from Albury on the Sturt and Olympic highways. Park at Riverside and in the nearby streets.

Weather & What to Pack

Late November in the Riverina is early summer and it warms up fast - a mild start around 12-16C can be into the high 20s by mid-morning, and the riverside track has patchy shade. The longer distances start early for a reason; carry fluid between aid stations.
