Weather & What to Pack

Mid-March in Devonport typically offers mild autumn conditions, with daytime temperatures ranging from 14-20°C. Morning start temperatures around 8:00 AM will be cooler, usually 12-16°C, perfect for racing. Tasmania's coastal weather can be changeable, so be prepared for possible wind off Bass Strait and a chance of light showers. The waterfront location may experience breezes. Wear light, breathable running gear with the option to layer at the start. Sun protection is recommended as UV levels remain moderate in autumn. Hydration is important despite the cooler temperatures, especially for the 10km distance.
