Course Description
Warburton Trail Fest offers a mix of forested singletrack and river‑run routes. The 50km Lumberjack Ultra starts in Powelltown, tackling steep climbs, technical descents and long stretches between aid stations. The 27km Redwoods Rush follows a mostly flat aqueduct corridor with gentle undulations. The 22km Donna Double climbs up Donna Buang before a fast descent back to the oval. The 14km Saw Mill Grove winds through fern‑lined valleys, while the 8km Little Joe's Night Terror adds a head‑lamp‑lit evening challenge. Shorter events include the 4.5km Rapid River Run, the 3km Lilo Derby on the river, and the 3km Lilo Dash ‘n Derby across water. Scenic views of the Yarra Ranges, native flora and crisp autumn air make every kilometre memorable.

The festival hub is the Warburton Recreation Oval on Warburton Highway. Parking is available nearby and bibs can be collected at the oval (or the Bowls Club if weather permits). How do I register and what are the entry fees?
Registration is online via the event website. Fees range from $10 for the Three Thong Thang dash to $250 for the 50km Lumberjack Ultra. Early‑bird discounts apply for some distances; check the official site for the full fee schedule.
What gear is mandatory for the races?
For the 50km, 27km, 22km and 14km runs you must carry at least 1‑2 L of water, a mobile phone, snake‑bandage and a wet‑weather jacket if advised. The Lilo Derby requires a flotation device, helmet and shoes. The night run needs a headlamp with spare batteries. No headphones are allowed on any trail section.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds are only available if you withdraw before 6 Feb 2027, minus an administration fee of $15‑$50 (varies by distance). After that date no refunds are given, even with a medical certificate.
Where and when can I collect my bib?
Bib collection is at Warburton Recreation Oval. On Friday 4‑7:30 pm you can pick up bibs (or at the Bowls Club if weather permits). Morning collections are also available at the oval before each race start.
