Course Description
The race starts at Belgian Gardens State School and follows a mix of well‑maintained single‑track and fire‑trail paths up Castle Hill. The 10km course finishes back at the school after a loop that showcases native bushland, open grassed ridges and rocky outcrops. Expect warm summer conditions, so stay hydrated and enjoy the rewarding descent to the finish line.

Weather & What to Pack
February is summer in Queensland, bringing hot and humid conditions with daytime temperatures typically between 28‑34 °C and occasional thunderstorms. The coastal location means strong sun and high UV levels, so wear a breathable hat, sunscreen and light, moisture‑wicking clothing. Carry plenty of water and consider a handheld electrolyte drink to stay hydrated throughout the climb.
