Course Description
The Sri Chinmoy Princes Park Run features a scenic 5km loop course on hard-packed gravel and asphalt around the perimeter of Princes Park, with an extension loop under Royal Parade following the old inner circle railway line down to Melbourne Zoo and return. This accurately measured, traffic-free course incorporates both Princes Park and Royal Park, offering a favourite route for Melbourne runners. The flat, fast course features kilometre markers throughout and drink stations every 2.5km stocked with water and electrolyte. Runners complete one loop for the 5km, two loops for 10km, three for 15km, and four for the 20km distance. With a 2 hour 45 minute cut-off for the 20km event, the course caters to runners of all abilities.

The race starts at Lawn 3, Princes Park, accessed via Royal Parade in Parkville, just north of Melbourne's CBD. Parking is available on surrounding streets, though spaces fill quickly on race morning. Public transport is excellent - take the tram along Royal Parade (route 19 or 57) or arrive via the nearby Royal Park train station on the Upfield line. Arrive by 7:00 AM for race number collection, with race briefing at 7:55 AM sharp.
