Course Description

GeoQuest 2027 offers two linear courses that wind through the Gold Coast’s stunning coastal waterways, pristine beaches, lush rainforest and rugged hinterland. The Full Course covers roughly 50‑60 km of trekking, 110‑130 km of mountain biking and 40‑50 km of kayaking, while the Geo‑Half trims those distances to about 25‑35 km trekking, 60‑70 km biking and 15‑25 km paddling. Teams navigate continuously for up to 48 hours, stopping only at transition areas for gear swaps and nutrition. Expect technical navigation, steep climbs, river crossings and breathtaking sea‑views – a true test of stamina, teamwork and adventure spirit.

Getting There

Race HQ is on the Southern Gold Coast near Gold Coast Airport in Currumbin. Teams should arrange their own transport and parking; there are several public car parks and nearby shuttle services, but exact details are on the official event page. Arrive early on Friday to complete registration and the mandatory briefing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register and what are the entry fees?

Registration is online via the Wild&Co website. Fees depend on the chosen course and team size (e.g., Half‑Course 2‑person $1,000, Full‑Course 4‑person $3,200). All prices include GST. Check the fee table on the event page for the exact amount.

What is the time limit for finishing the race?

The race runs continuously for 48 hours. The official course close is at a 52‑hour cut‑off, so teams must reach Race HQ before then to be classified.

What gear must I bring?

Teams must be self‑sufficient: pack all equipment, food, water, navigation tools and clothing in the limited plastic trunks provided. Kayaks are supplied. Bikes, helmets and personal safety gear are mandatory. Teams must stay within 100 m of each other at all times.

Can I have a support crew?

Yes. Teams may race ‘supported’ with one additional non‑racing support person, or ‘unsupported’ where Wild&Co handles logistics. Inform the organisers during registration.

What is the cancellation or transfer policy?

Cancellations >12 weeks before the event receive a refund minus a 15 % admin fee. Cancellations 12‑4 weeks out get a 50 % refund. Cancellations <4 weeks are non‑refundable. Entries can be transferred to another Wild&Co event >4 weeks before the race date for a credit valid 12 months.
