Event Details
Course Description
The race starts on the banks of Enoggera Reservoir, winding through native bushland trails that skirt the water's edge. Participants tackle a mix of gravel paths, forest tracks and a short kayak stretch across the reservoir. The Classic Course weaves over undulating terrain, while the Novice route shortens the distance and reduces technical sections. A dedicated Kids Course introduces younger racers to safe, easy‑going trails and a mini‑kayak run. Throughout, course markings are clear and volunteers are on hand, making the event both challenging and family‑friendly in a picturesque, heritage‑listed environment.
Getting There
From Brisbane CBD, take the M5 and exit at The Gap Road, then follow signs to Enoggera Reservoir (approx. 15 km). Parking is available at the Reservoir car park (free for race participants). Public transport: bus 430 from Ashgrove to The Gap, a short walk to the start. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to collect your race packet and warm up.
