Course Description

The race winds through the Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan, offering wide open parkland paths, native flora and gentle undulating terrain. Runners enjoy a mix of paved walkways and soft garden trails, with scenic views of themed plant collections and open lawns. The Half Marathon includes a few modest climbs and technical turns, while the shorter distances stay largely flat and fast. Finish lines are set amid the garden’s natural backdrop, providing a memorable finish for all participants.

Getting There

The festival is accessible by car only on race morning. Large car parks are located on the east and west sides of Lizard Log, reachable via Horsley Drive. A grass overflow area (4WD only when needed) is also available. Public transport does not run early on a Sunday, so plan to drive and arrive early. Check the official website for the latest parking and traffic details.

Weather & What to Pack

April in NSW is autumn, with mild days and cool mornings. Expect temperatures between 12‑20 °C and low to moderate humidity. Dress in layers – a light long‑sleeve shirt, a breathable jacket and a hat for sun protection. Warm‑up gloves may be useful early, and stay hydrated even in cooler weather.
