Event Details
Course Description
Both races start and finish at the main entry of Stromlo Forest Park on Dave McInnes Rd. The 2 km course is a single‑loop, gently undulating trail that winds through native eucalyptus groves and offers a few short, technical sections on packed dirt. The 5 km route adds an extra loop, introducing modest climbs and scenic viewpoints over the park’s open grasslands and creek crossings. The well‑maintained cross‑country surface is forgiving on shoes, and the course is clearly marked, making it ideal for all ability levels while still providing a taste of off‑road running.
Getting There
The races are held at Stromlo Forest Park, Dave McInnes Rd, Stromlo, ACT. Parking is available at the park’s designated lots and public transport options can be found on the Canberra Runners website. Arrive early – the organisers ask participants to be at the start line at least 15 minutes before the 6:15 pm start.
Weather & What to Pack
