Course Description

Runners will start at Rond Terrace in Commonwealth Park, following a fast, flat, road‑only route that showcases Canberra’s centre. The Half Marathon and 10K loops weave past the Old and New Parliament Houses before heading toward the picturesque Lake Burley Griffin, where the finish line sits at Rond Terrace with views of the water. The 5K starts at King George Terrace, offering a shorter but equally scenic loop through the city’s cultural precinct. The 2 km Kids Dash begins and ends at the same venue, providing a safe, family‑friendly circuit. All courses are AIMS‑certified, fully timed, and feature multiple drink stations, electrolyte points and cheering zones.

Getting There

The race hub is at Rond Terrace in Commonwealth Park, Canberra. Arrive by car, bus or train to the city centre and walk to the venue. Limited parking is available nearby; for exact locations and public transport options, check the official website. Aim to arrive early to collect your bib and explore the event village before the races begin.

Weather & What to Pack

In early November Canberra enjoys a pleasant spring climate. Expect daytime highs of 18‑25 °C with cool evenings around 12‑15 °C, and generally low humidity. Light showers are possible, so a breathable, layered outfit and a hat are advisable. Sunscreen and a reusable water bottle will keep you comfortable, while a light jacket can be handy for cooler morning starts. Stay hydrated and enjoy the fresh spring air.
