Course Description
The race starts and finishes at the Hobart Regatta Grounds on the Queens Domain, a flat, paved circuit that loops around the historic venue. Runners follow a well‑marked road course lit with neon glow sticks and colourful lighting, with the River Derwent and city skyline providing a scenic backdrop. The 600 m kids’ sprint is a quick dash, while the 2 km, 4 km and 8 km routes are multiple laps of the same loop, allowing participants to soak up the party atmosphere, music and cheering volunteers. The course is easy‑grade with no hills, making it suitable for all fitness levels while still offering a fun night‑time challenge.

Weather & What to Pack

Dress in layers – a light jacket or long‑sleeve shirt over a breathable base – and wear bright, reflective clothing for safety. Bring a water bottle, but you’ll likely stay hydrated with the cooler weather. Check the forecast closer to race day and adjust your attire accordingly.
