Course Description

Hidden Vale Adventure Park offers over 80 km of purpose‑built trails winding through 12,000 acres of forest, open paddocks and rugged ridges. Short courses like the 4.2 km Yakima Mini Epic and 4 km Yakima/99 Bikes Mini Epic follow easy blue‑marked tracks, perfect for first‑timers. Mid‑distance events (11.5 km Ground Effect Trail Run, 27 km Pure Sports Nutrition Trail Run) tackle varied terrain – from the technical Gully and 007 sections to the flowing Ripple Effect and Fairy Wren loops, with nutrition stations at key checkpoints. The flagship 89 km Flight Centre Cycle Epic and 58 km World 360 Pursuit test endurance across steep climbs, technical descents and scenic creek crossings, with colour‑coded bunting to guide riders. All courses feature well‑marked routes, regular water stops and stunning Queensland countryside views.

Weather & What to Pack

August is winter in Queensland. Expect mild daytime highs of 15‑20 °C and cooler mornings around 5‑10 °C, with low humidity and occasional light rain. Dress in layers – a breathable base, insulated mid‑layer and wind‑proof outer jacket – and bring a hat or buff. Hydration is still essential despite cooler temps, so carry water and electrolyte supplies.
