Course Description

All races start and finish at the Imbil Showgrounds (16 Edward St). The 10 km follows the scenic Rail Trail to Brooloo and back, while the 21 km traverses rolling hills and creek crossings. The 50 km loop adds a climb to Mt Allan, delivering 1,832 m of ascent. The 112 km course repeats the Mt Allan ascent and includes 4,900 m of elevation gain, looping through Imbil State Forest and Conondale National Park. The ultimate 100‑mile ultra combines the 112 km loop with a second 50 km loop, totalling 6,700 m of climb and demanding navigation of reflective orange‑silver flagging tape, red arrows and checkpoint drops. Expect breathtaking lookouts, babbling creeks and challenging terrain throughout.

Weather & What to Pack

June is winter in Queensland, and the Sunshine Coast hinterland around Imbil experiences cool, crisp mornings and mild afternoons, typically 8–16 °C with occasional light rain. Expect lower humidity than the coast. Dress in layers: a thermal base, insulated mid‑layer, and a waterproof breathable jacket. Bring a warm hat, gloves and sturdy trail shoes. Even in winter, stay hydrated – carry at least 1 L of water per checkpoint.
