Event Details
Course Description
The 10km course starts and finishes in Tench Reserve, just north of the Nepean River parkrun. It follows sealed cycle and pedestrian paths that loop out‑and‑back along the river, offering a flat, traffic‑free surface ideal for pushing a pram or walking a dog. You’ll share the route with fellow runners, walkers and cyclists, but there are no road crossings to worry about. The course is not signposted, so load the GPX file onto your watch or phone beforehand, or run with someone who knows the way. With plenty of water fountains and public toilets en‑route, the run is comfortable even if the spring weather turns breezy.
Getting There
Tench Reserve is located on Tench Avenue in Jamisontown. Free car parking is available on Tench Avenue and in nearby carparks off the same street. Public toilets and drinking fountains are at the start/finish area. Arrive by 6:45 AM to line up for the 7:00 AM start. For detailed transport options, check the official WS10 website.
Weather & What to Pack
November is spring in NSW, with mild to warm days typically ranging from 18 °C to 24 °C and moderate humidity. Expect mostly sunny skies with a chance of light showers. Dress in breathable, layered clothing and wear a hat or sunglasses for sun protection. Bring a water bottle or use the on‑course drinking fountains, and consider a light waterproof jacket just in case of a brief rain.
